Kersti and Bertil - We are Nature Guides North Vättern

You will find us by Vättern and Tiveden. Several years ago we sat on an island in Lake Vättern and pondered over how we wanted to work with kayak courses. We wanted fun kayaks that suited our different participants, we wanted to offer courses and tours our way. We wanted to inspire those we meet to experience and discover more of nature and their relation to it. So we decided to start our company’s journey.

So far it has been an exciting trip with many forks in the road where we tried new paths. Today we teach kayaking at home in Lake Vättern and in other parts of Sweden, we guide in Tiveden and we love to tell stories and entertain our guests in the charcoal huts.

We have fun together with our guests and we do it in unison with nature.

Kersti Beck Larsson

I have hiked in the forest from childhood. My grand-mother taught me about what we saw around us. This awakened my interest in nature. The outdoor life came as a natural part of my teenage years and likewise my interest in the different species. Through the years there have been many hours both in the kayak and in the forest. It is when surrounded by nature I “feel at home”. Through my company I can invite others into the natural surroundings. The best way to learn more about a place is to go with someone who is at home there, much as I did with my grandmother. You can come with me – I will be happy to guide you to richer experiences.

Bertil Larsson

In my early teens I saw some ravens cavorting up in the sky. It was the start of my interest in nature. I began to be out more and more in the forest, often with my camera. Eventually I trained as a Forest Technician and worked in the forest. Through my wife Kersti I discovered kayaking and was hooked. Training beginners is so much fun, seeing how they quickly develop and dare to try more. I am also a folk musician so the music is often a part of my guiding. I love telling others about the forest and its significance. When you come with me on a guided tour you will have fun, and at the same time learn new things about what we discover and experience together. You too can come with me into the forest!
